What we do with what you send.
This website is run by Steve and Nila Koerber of Bayleys Remuera, 303 Remuera Road, Remuera. Here is what happens when you contact us through it.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form on this site:
- your name, and a phone number or email address;
- a property address, if you give one;
- your message, and whether you asked to join the Koerber List;
- the email address alone, if you join the Koerber List from the listings page.
We also record which page the form was sent from, so we know what you were looking at.
Like most websites, our host, Vercel, receives your IP address and may record it in server logs. This site keeps only a short-lived, scrambled version of it to stop a form being used to send spam.
Your browser may also send a technical security report if a page tries to load something outside this site’s security policy. It can include the page, the blocked address and the rule involved. We use these reports only to keep the site secure. They appear in our host’s server logs and are not added to a customer or marketing database.
What we use it for
To reply to you, and to give you the help you asked for. If you ask to join the Koerber List we will add you to it and send you new and off-market Remuera homes, often before they’re advertised. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Where it goes
A form is sent as an email to Steve’s Bayleys inbox, where he and Nila deal with it, so it is held in Bayleys’ email system. The email is delivered by Resend, an email delivery service, and the site itself is hosted by Vercel; both are overseas companies whose servers are outside New Zealand. When you start filling in a form, Cloudflare Turnstile, a service of Cloudflare (also overseas), checks that you are a person and not a script; Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser details to do that. Apart from that delivery, hosting and check, we do not sell your details or pass them to anyone else for marketing. Steve and Nila work through Bayleys Real Estate Ltd, and if you go on to list or buy a property, Bayleys’ own privacy policy applies to what you give them then.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
To see how many people visit and which pages they read, we use Vercel Web Analytics. It counts page views without cookies and without identifying anyone, and we cannot tell who a visitor is. It also counts how many enquiries and Koerber List requests are sent. It does not see what you type into a form, and nothing you type is passed to it. What you do send in a form is covered above.
The Bayleys pages you reach from our Listings page are Bayleys’ and have their own terms.
Seeing it, correcting it, removing it
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see what we hold about you, ask us to correct it and ask us to delete it. Call Steve on 021 864 166 or email steve.koerber@bayleys.co.nz. If you are not happy with how a request is handled, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
